Stardust:You're welcome! When it comes to tax time, Quicken will generate and export your schedule D-1 into TurboTax. Just a couple clicks and you are done.
FYI: You can not import data from TDAmeritrade and Zecco directly into TurboTax or any other tax packages. Sure, TurboTax has the option to download data directly from TDAmeritrade or Zecco, but these brokers refuse to export the "purchase date" and the "paid amount". Without these two important columns, the IRS will think that you buy all your stocks at $0.
Great info. I tried today to download into money and kept getting an error for the zecco site. Tested download for quicken and got the same error. I wonder if money will create a schedule d. Got a free copy from msft. Can quicken handle option trading? It is interesting that you mention the brokers refusing to export the purchase date info into turbotax. I can only wonder their thinking as to why they dont support that?
