Chrib to have your pick CPSL go up like that on a day like today should have posters listen to your advice with both ears.

    Great call..

CPSL is in contact with NASA regarding it's entry back into the atmosphere.  LOL

I didn't make any trades today.....still holding QID and SKF.

Im holding solarfun (solf).   Up 9 out of the last 10 days (total of 40%ish).  earning are announced the 27th and past earnings have spiked the price significantly.  I have my fingers crossed.

Really nice trade! Did you buy it 10 days ago? Nice chart too.

But please don't hold through earnings. Why take on earnings surprise risk? Look at CRM, earnings last Thursday and it tanked badly. Holding through earnings is gambling, in my opinion. If you want to gamble, buy call options on SOLF and don't spend a lot of money because you probably will lose all that you put in.

Also until earnings think about what the chart would look like that would lead you to believe SOLF is done moving up. For me that might be if it closes below 17.86. Whatever set of conditions you choose, don't be reluctant to sell it if those conditions are met, even if your final return ends up being less than you hoped for. That's how I keep myself alive in this hellhole of a market.

CPSL WAS DEAD ON THE WATER FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AND HAD NO RATINGS WHATSOEVER BUT BECAUSE OF THE OLYMPICS ,ACCORDING TO ONE ANALYST, IT HAS ONCE MORE BEEN GIVEN SOME LIFE. EXPECTED BREAKOUT STARTED LAST WEEK BUT WAS SLOW AND ANTICIPATED TO DOUBLE ANYTIME. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS PUPPY FOR QUITE SOMETIME AND I HOPE IT STARTS JUMPING HIGHER AS I HAVE MY POSITION LOCKED . IT HAD BEEN PULLING BACK AND FORTH BUT TODAY IT DECIDED TO KEEP MOST OF ITS GAIN. VOLUME HAD BEEN CLIMBING STEADILY BUT WATCH OUT. IF THAT ANALYST IS RIGHT THE OLYMPIC FACTOR MAY HAVE HAD A HAND IN DRIVING IT UP. NOW THAT THE OLYMPIC IS OVER WE CAN ONLY HOPE IT STAYS ON ITS CURRENT UPWARD TREND. GOOD LUCK!

I agree, far far better to get out too early on those

Those are looking like good holds at this point, Jack!
Why CPSL decided to launch today, I have no clue; after all the market tanked and I said CPSL would rocket if the markets rocketed. All I can say is that the technicals foreshadowed it. An upward break on Friday on the pennant formed on the daily chart. That particular setup is a look that works more often than not - it gives me an edge, and so I play it.
There's a day trade set up in CPSL for tomorrow - buy above 5.61, risking to 5.24 or 4.99 - but you will need access to intraday charts to do this because by definition of daytrade, you will need to close your position at the end of the day. It's an all right setup, and the stock can go a ways before it'll start looking done. By the way I don't consider day trading a strength of mine at all. I feel much more comfortable with the other stuff I do http://www.chribstrades.com (why is linking broken??) to read about my real systems & take what I just said on the CPSL daytrade setup with a grain of salt.
Also like TOTI said, CPSL can rot even faster than it rose, so if you plan to daytrade it, be nimble, be humble, don't be greedy, book your profit piece by piece, but let at least 50% run, moving stops up relatively conservatively. I still have 80% of my original position left - I'm going to put my sell-stop at 4.99 tomorrow, and I'll also sell if CPSL closes below 5.24. Good trading everyone.

You can say that again.  Back in July I nailed a 30% gain in one day shorting Fannie.

DIG may see a short term up swing later this week/next week.  There is a hurricane pointed straight at the Gulf.

My read is that oil is about where gold was early June
About to embark on the sucker's rally portion
Tradeable yes but you want to be on high alert while holding
The subsequent down move could be a washout

CPSL - on breach of 5.61 I moved my stop up to 5.40 - "from failed moves come fast moves" as Brian Shannnon says - and now I'm out @ 5.40
Pullback's deep but not fatal, but this is why I don't like buying the open

I THINK THIS PUPPY IS STILL PLAYING. IT CLOSED  LIKE YOU SAID BUT WENT BACK UP TO 5.24 IN THE AFTER HOURS TRADING. IT SHOWED A NEW HIGH TODAY AT 5.67 AND THE VOLUME IS STILL RISING.

Could be, could be - TASR had a similar pattern Aug 6-7 and took off from there
This is not the setup I like so I'm not playing - maybe later it will give me something I can work with
LO has the right setup for tomorrow,
Speaking of TASR that one could go too
Lots of pent-up energy in charts after today
