When do I find out my Account Number?

    Reply Quote
Earlier today my account application was approved and I got a message from Zecco that told me how to construct my Trading Key. The message contained only a "reference number." Using the last four digits of the reference number for the last part of the Trading Key didn't get me logged in, so apparently I still need an Account Number. While updating my profile, specifically, the Sharing status, I found a number in a drop-down text box that claimed to be the account number I would be sharing. However, when I used the last four digits of that number as part of the Trading Key, I still couldn't login to my trading account even though all this occurred well after the three hour maximum for activation. So where do I find my Account Number to use in constructing my Trading Key?

I'm in exactly the same situation. 12 hours now since I got the email that my account was activated. maybe it's 3 days instead of 3 hours?

After you successfully login into Zecco, at the top right corner of the screen, locate the "SIGN OUT|TRADING" button.  The "SIGN OUT" is in black and the "TRADING" is in pink...you couldn't miss it.  Now, click on the "TRADING" button, then under the Welcome..., it will also mention the last 4 digits of your account number in the "Trading Account" pick list.  Now, you can construct your trading key for the first time.  Remember to change your trading key after you login to the Trading Center.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, NOT SO! The Trading Account box has only one item in it (even after I click the dropdown button): "Individual (opens in minutes)", whatever that means. There are no digits anywhere to be found. Any other suggestions?

I went thru the same dilemma when I first opened my account....wasn't sure how to log onto my account...if your trading account box has the following info:

Individual (****####), then all you have u do is type in your password without touching the trading acct box info.

I'm assuming if your account says Individual (opens in minutes), maybe you should wait and see if the "opens in minutes" is true. Give it a few seconds, and see if something pops up there? If it does, proceed to type in your password.

If that doesn't work, I'm assuming you have to wait a few more days.

That's the only way in that I know of.  Like chunfamily123 said, you may have to wait a little bit longer.  Since it's the weekend, you may have to wait until Monday morning.

Thanks! Yeah, when I received the Application Approved e-mail it was only about 40 minutes before the Zecco crew folded up shop for the weekend. I was kinda thinking that once approval came through an automated process would start up to activate my Trading Account. Guess not. I'll wait out the weekend, meanwhile perusing the Zecco website.

I was in the same situation, but I figured it out.

The reference number included in your e-mail is NOT the account number.

You know after you log in, and you go to "trading"? There, in the upper right hand side, there is a box for you to enter your trading key so you can log into the trading area. This is where the confusion ensues.

Enter in what you believe is correct, and the page seems to accept the input... then just brings you back to the same page!

Here's what you need to look for/do:
Where it says Account, does it say "Individual (opens in minutes)"? If so, your account has not been set up yet.

Your account number will show up after the account name (in my case, "Individual") when it is approved. Use the instructions with the e-mail, but use THIS number instead.

So, in conclusion, your account number NEVER GETS E-MAILED TO YOU.

This is very confusing and it took about 2-3 days, including today, to get my account approved, despite the approval e-mail. Even if you get an e-mail saying you are approved, that doesn't mean you are approved!

This is quite confusing indeed, and I feel poorly implemented - but in exchange for free trades and zecco's more open philosophy and policies, I am willing to put up with it :)

I feel your pain - Zecco Holdings does not make it very easy to locate your account number. Here are step-by-step instructions that are sure to help you locate your account number.

    1. Open a new tab in your browser and go to www.zecco.com

    2. Sign in to your account with the ussername and password you created when you opened the account

    3. Click on the pink trading tab in the upper right-hand corner

    4. This login page should prompt you to enter your trading key - this is different from your original password!

    5. Once you have successfully logged into the trading center, you will see all the positions that you currently hold (if any). On the LEFT HAND side of this page, you will see a list of tabs that are in all CAPS. The second one from the bottom says "MY INFO." Click on the "MY INFO" tab and you will be prompted to enter your original password that you used in step number 2.

    6. Once you have successfully loffed into the "MY INFO" page, you should see a detailed report with all of your banking and identification info. The very first number listed at the top of the "report" is your account number.

You are probably kicking yourself over how easy it is but I admit, it's a little confusing without the step-by-step instructions.

    Hope this helps!
