    I'm into puns today, I'm sorry. I just could not resist linking Yahoo!'s recent stock price to that great little toy I had so much fun with way back when.

    Anyway, today the Microsoft-Yahoo! merger fell through, leading to a 10% plunge for YHOO. Is this the end now? As in final? Or is this saga soon going into yet another chapter?

    I am a Microsoft shareholder and the stock has been wallowing a bit throughout these new discussions and has been sluggish since the first take over bid was rebuffed by the Yahoo board.  But on the annoucement that talks have broken off yet again, MSFT shares rocket up a buck and a quarter in just a few minutes.  If the saga being over means Microsoft will get back to making me some money, I am all for it.  Put the MSFT and Yahoo daily charts side by side and you will honestly laugh.  You can tell the exact minute when this latest announcement was made.
