BTW, looks like I got it correct, airlines reached market bottom on last Thursday. Due to my greedy and zecco rules, I lost on a correct judgment.

How did you lose on a correct judgment?  Just curious!

as I stated before. I sold first, and waited to buy in at market bottom. but buying power doesn't update after selling. I found I had to wait for the next, the next day, market moved up. I lost $4000.

The "real time" column in Balance doesn't update real time for selling, you have to wait for the next day. The FAQ says that they update your buying power immediately after selling for margin account.

    That's incorrect.

Right now, whenever I sell, the expected amount disappears. not shown in total balance or buying power, simply gone.

My question is why does Zecco allows the investor to play a Trading call, A broker can stop you by giving message before you trying for a call. Investors are not born, day to day experience make the people investor. Why do you allow an investor to commit a call?. Why the call rule exist?.

Yes, Zecco sucks when it comes to margin accounts.  I have to call in about once a week to move all my Type I (cash) positions to a Type II (margin) position.  For some reason, my account keeps placing Type I orders when I have a margin account.  I'm thinking it's because I originally had a cash account and Zecco never updated it to margin correctly.  However, none of the customer service reps can figure it out.  I just keep calling and they just keep converting....fun, fun!  I guess you get what you pay for around here!

I don't think you can blame Zecco on this one.  It doesn't matter where you go, the day trading or margin trading rules work the same everywhere else.  About the second part of your question, why does Zecco  allow an investor to commit a trade that would violate the rules which will cause a call?  I think it has something to do with  "freedom" and "freewill".  It's like God has the power to stop people from commit a crime, but God does absolutely nothing to stop them.

Yes, It is easy to convert to margin account all you have to sign the form to convert from cash to margin but you will have a headache because keeping track of what you sold and not to violate the rules. Stay at cash account and easy to track of what you sold and when the money update and buy again.

I got a Reg T call as well. I guess I just got confused and didn't remember how much cash I have. (The cash balance wasn't updated real-time).

Can I simply sell the stock I bought on margin? Or Do I have to deposit cash to meet the call?
